CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University's head baseball coach, Roland Fanning, announced the addition of 15 newcomers, consisting of three freshmen, 12 transfers, and 19 returners, for the 2026 baseball season.
Freshmen Class
Mason Pickering | Hilldale HS | Muskogee, Okla.
A catcher out of Muskogee, Oklahoma, who bats from the left side and prepped at Hilldale HS.
Dillon Adkins | Bob Jones HS | Madison, Ala.
A two-way lefty in the outfield and on the bump out of Madison, Alabama, where he prepped at Bob Jones HS under head coach Jared Smith. Adkins was an All-State and All-Area selection and helped his team to a state championship and semifinals appearance in 2024 & 25, respectively.
Houston Hebert | Rossview HS | Clarksville, Tenn.
A Clarksville native who was a multi-sport athlete at Rossview HS, playing football, basketball, and baseball. He played under head coach Parker Holman in his baseball prep, hitting 23 career home runs and tallying 110 RBI. He joins the Governors as a two-way player on the infield.

Zion Taylor | University of Mobile | Atlanta, Ga.
An outfielder out of Atlanta, Georgia, who joins the Governors after spending the '25 season at the University of Mobile. Taylor had a standout junior season for the Rams, where he batted .437 with nine home runs and 60 RBI over 47 games.
Elijah Underhill | Eastern Kentucky | Cadiz, Ky.
A native of Cadiz, Kentucky, joins the Governors after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Eastern Kentucky as a two-way player. Underhill appeared 15 times on the mound in 2025, starting 10 games, finishing the season with a 1-9 win-loss record and a 12.38 ERA over 37 innings of work.
Bryce McCain | Blinn College | Aledo, Texas
Coming out of Aledo, Texas, McCain joins the Governors after his 2025 season at Blinn College, where the right-handed pitcher threw in 12 relief appearances, finishing the year with a 1-0 win-loss record and a 3.14 ERA over 14.1 innings.
TJ Costello | Chabot College | Pleasanton, Calif.
A junior infielder out of Pleasanton, California, Costello joins the Governors after spending the 2025 season at Chabot College, where he batted .381 with eight home runs and 42 RBI over 36 games.
Ryker Walton | Eastern Kentucky | Potosi, Mo.
A graduate coming out of Potosi, Missouri, who joins the Governors after spending his junior and senior seasons at Eastern Kentucky, where he finished with a 7.13 ERA over 120 innings of work. The right-hander collected 114 strikeouts in his two seasons at EKU and held batters to a .289 batting average.
Drew Delucia | Franklin Pierce | Medway, Mass.
A right-handed pitcher from Medway, Massachusetts, who joins the Governors after spending his last three seasons at Franklin Pierce, where he made 42 appearances on the mound, starting 24. He finished his time there with a 13-9 win-loss record and a 4.81 ERA over 168.1 innings. He was also named the Northeast 10 Rookie Pitcher of the Year in 2023.
Colin Carney | McLennan CC | Kingwood, Texas
Coming from Kingwood, Texas, a right-handed pitcher who joins the Governors after one season at McLennan Community College. He appeared five times on the mound, starting one game, and finishing the season with a 0-1 win-loss record and 6.14 ERA over 7.1 innings.
Ty Wisdom | Kansas | Kansas City, Mo.
A utility player out of Kansas City, Missouri, Wisdom joins the Governors after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Kansas. There, he played in 57 games, starting 34, and finished his time with the Jayhawks with a .246 batting average with five home runs and 21 RBI.
Daniel Koppisch | Bloomsburg | Philadelphia, Pa.
A right-handed pitcher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, transferring in from Bloomsburg, where he spent his freshman and sophomore seasons. He appeared on the mound 26 times, starting 13, and finishing his two years there with a 7-7 win-loss record and an 8.02 ERA over 67.1 innings of work.
Gavin Alveti | Central Arkansas | Searcy, Ark.
A native of Searcy, Arkansas, Alveti joins the Governors after spending the last two seasons at Central Arkansas. The right-handed pitcher made 23 appearances in his UCA career, finishing with a 1-1 win-loss record and an 8.92 ERA over 36.1 innings.
Jett Hope | Oklahoma State | Bixby, Okla.
A right-handed pitcher from Bixby, Oklahoma, who joins the Governors after his freshman season at Oklahoma State, making one relief appearance for the Cowboys.
Jackson Hohensee | Arizona Christian | Anthem, Ariz.
A right-handed pitcher coming from Anthem, Arizona, who spent the last three seasons with Arizona Christian University. In his time there, he made 62 appearances while starting 21. He finished his career there with an 8-8 win-loss record and set the single-season program record with 13 saves in 2025.
