2022: A finalist for the 2022 Stats Perform Buck Buchanan Award… A HERO Sports Sophomore All-America, Stats Perform Third Team FCS All-America, and All-ASUN Conference selection, he started all 11 games for the Govs at linebacker… Recorded a career-best 14 tackles – with eight solo stops – and a pass breakup in his first collegiate start in the season opener against Western Kentucky (Aug. 27)… His 14 tackles against WKU were the best single-game total by a Governor in 2022… Picked up five tackles and a sack – his first collegiate tackle for loss – against Presbyterian (Sept. 3), he also blocked a punt in the contest… Had nine tackles, a sack, and a pair of quarterback hurries at Alabama A&M (Sept. 17)… Also recovered a fumble and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown – the third-longest fumble return in APSU history – to seal the win over AAMU in the fourth quarter… Made seven tackles against Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 24)… Added five tackles and a tackle for loss against Central Arkansas (Oct. 1)… Posted 10 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and a sack against Murray State (Oct. 15)… His 4.0 TFLs against Murray State are tied for the third-best single-game total in program history and were the best single-game mark by a Gov since 2002… Had eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Jacksonville State (Oct. 29)… Notched nine tackles and two tackles for loss – one of which was a sack – and a forced fumble against North Alabama (Nov. 5)… Totaled eight tackles and a quarterback hurry against Kennesaw State (Nov. 12)… Posted his second double-digit tackle performance against an FBS opponent with 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Alabama (Nov. 19)… Led the Govs with 91 total tackles and 12.5 tackles for loss, ranking second and third in the ASUN, respectively… Was the only ASUN player to rank in the top three in the conference in tackles and tackles for loss… Also ranked second in the ASUN in tackles per game (8.3) and was tied for fourth in solo tackles (42)… Ranked second on the team and was tied for seventh in the ASUN with 4.0 sacks.
2021: Saw action in all 11 games during the 2021 season… Made a season-high three tackles at Ole Miss (Sept. 11)… Forced and recovered a fumble at Eastern Kentucky (Sept 25)… Had two solo tackles at Murray State (Oct. 23).
2020-2021: Saw action in three games… made his career’s first tackle against No. 13 Cincinnati (Sept. 19).
High School: A linebacker for head coach Patrick Nix at Pinson Valley High School, which won the 2017 and 2018 Class 6A state championships… Recorded 80 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks as a senior… Named to Alabama Sports Writer Association’s Class 6A All-State teams… Named 2019 All-Trussville Tribune Defensive Player of the Year and to AL.com’s All-Birmingham High School Football Team… No. 6 linebacker in Alabama, according to Maxpreps… Also competed in wrestling for Pinson Valley.
Personal: Antoine Marquess Williams is the son of Monique Jones and Antoine Winston… Birthday is June 18… Has four siblings: Jayce, Kiersten, Levi, and Gabrielle… A criminal justice major.
