2023 | Austin Peay

  • Made 23 relief appearances, finishing with a 3-2 record and one save.
  • Struck out 24 batters in 32.0 innings and held opposing batters to a .255 batting average.
  • Debuted in the season opener against Illinois State (Feb. 17) and provided two innings of scoreless relief.
  • Did not allow a run in first four relief appearances, totaling 6.1 innings, capping the stretch with four strikeouts in three innings of scoreless relief at Dallas Baptist (Feb. 24).
  • Credited with his first Governors win at Southern Indiana after tossing 1.2 innings of scoreless relief (March 7).
  • Picked up his second victory with an inning of scoreless relief against North Florida (March 18).
  • Provided another stretch of four-straight scoreless relief outings (7.0 IP, April 7-29), capping the run with his third win courtesy of two innings of scoreless relief at Jacksonville (April 22).
  • Tied career high with 3.0 innings pitched against FGCU (April 29) and allowed only one run while striking out three batters.

Prep Career

  • Was a pitcher and outfielder for head coach Brian Hetland, a former Austin Peay assistant coach, helping Clarksville High School reach the 2022 Tennessee’s Class AAA state baseball tournament, its first appearance since 2010.
  • Named the 2021 Leaf-Chronicle All-Area Player of the Year and was named to the All-Area team along with current Governors teammates Nathan Barksdale and Garrison Goins.
  • As a senior, he batted .404 and finished with 44 hits, 11 doubles, 12 home runs, 53 RBIs and 35 runs. He pitched 53? innings and had a 9-1 record with 67 strikeouts.
  • Tossed a complete game, leading Wildcats to first-ever state tournament victory during the 2021 tourney.
  • In that tournament win, he allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out six over 7.0 innings against McMinn County. He also was 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBI in that game.
  • Batted .500 (5-of-10) with four RBI in the 2021 state tournament.
  • Tabbed the No. 20 overall prospect in the state of Tennessee by Perfect Game and was rated the seventh-best right-handed pitcher in Tennessee.
