Academic Honors: AD Honor Roll, S15

2015: Saw playing time increase significantly in 2015, earning three starts… made five tackles in first start against Mercer, including one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery… followed that with a five-stop effort against Southern Miss… assisted on four tackles against Vanderbilt… after recording 14 tackles in the season’s first three games, was held to just eight tackles over the season’s final eight weeks.

2014: Freshman defensive back made plenty of contributions on special teams in his first season and will be in the mix for consistent playing time as a sophomore… made a solo stop in the opener at Memphis… had three tackles against both UT Martin and Southeast Missouri.

Previously: Leading tackler for Carman-Ainsworth HS… two-time first-team all-conference defensive back… first-team Dream Team as senior… also earned honorable mention All-State… helped Carman Ainsworth to first regional championship and state semifinal berth… also all-conference selection in track.

Personal: General business major… son of Jomiche Allen and LaQueda Bowers… born May 30.
