2018 (Senior): Former defensive lineman transitioned to tight end for his final season… played in nine games, primarily as a blocker on special teams.
2017 (Junior): Appeared in one game, notching 0.5 tackle for loss against Morehead State on Sept. 16.
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in seven contests, recording three total tackles as an edge rusher… recovered a fumble against Murray State, Oct. 1… made tackles at Eastern Illinois (Sept. 24), Mercer (Oct. 22) and Tennessee State (Nov. 5).
2015 (Freshman): Made 10 appearances as a speed rusher, recording eight total tackles… shared a pair of stops at Vanderbilt… shared two sacks against Jacksonville State… also shared a tackle against Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, UT Martin and Tennessee State.
High School: Played defensive end, linebacker, offensive tackle and guard for Brad Conley at Gibbs High School… credited with 84 tackles as senior and 10 tackles for loss, including seven sacks… had 79 tackles as junior, including 13 sacks… two-time 5A All-State defensive lineman… after being named District 3-5A Lineman of the Year in 2013 was chosen 2014 District 3-5A Lineman of Year… two-time all-district as well as being named to Knoxville Interscholastic League defense… also named to 2013 Prepxtra First Team Defense… voted 2014 All-State Academic Athlete Award and was selected 2014 Army ROTC All-State Academic Team… selected to play in the 2015 National Guard Kentucky/Tennessee Border Bowl.
Personal: Son of Chris and Barbara Lane… has one brother, Oliver… born Dec. 12… majoring in pre-veterinary studies.
