2024: Appeared in 11 games and started the season's final four games at tight end... Had two receptions for 11 yards at Central Arkansas (Sept. 14)... His lone catch against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21) was a season-long 15-yard reception... Added two catches for 14 yards against Tarleton State (Oct. 26)… Had a career-high five receptions for 46 yards in his first start as a Governor at North Alabama (Nov. 2)… Hauled in his first-career touchdown on a two-yard reception against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16)... Caught three passes for 20 yards in the season finale against Chattanooga (Nov. 23)… Finished the season with 16 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown... Led APSU tight ends in receptions and receiving yards.

Prior to Austin Peay: Began his career at Gardner-Webb (2023), appearing in five games and helping the Runnin’ Bulldogs win the 2023 Big South-OVC Championship. 2023: Played in five games during true freshman season… Made his collegiate debut and recorded one reception for seven yards against Elon (Sept. 9)… Recorded a season-best three receptions for 12 yards and returned one kick for six yards at Tennessee State (Sept. 16)… Posted two receptions for four yards and his first career tackle against Robert Morris (Oct. 7)… Returned a kick for 11 yards against Austin Peay (Oct. 14)… Finished the season with six receptions for 23 yards and two kickoff returns for 17 yards.

High School: Played tight end and linebacker for head coach Michael Collins at River Ridge High School… Finished his prep career with 137 receptions for 1,989 yards and 22 touchdowns… A three-time First Team All-Cherokee County selection… Recorded 51 receptions for 615 yards and five touchdowns as a senior to earn  6A All-Region 6 honors… Also posted 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack on defense during his senior campaign… Totaled 47 receptions for 695 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior en route to earning Georgia Athletic Coaches Association First Team All-State honors… Had 36 receptions for 657 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore in 2020… Also played basketball for the Knights and was an All-Region 6 honorable mention during his senior season.

Personal: Steven Jackson Head is the son of Lauren and Lee Cannon and Beau McGee… Birthday is Nov. 26… Has one sibling, Emma Cannon… A finance major.
