2014: Was thought to be a redshirt candidate, but talent won out and he saw action in seven games as a freshman… was 4-for-11 for 72 yards in his first action off the bench against Eastern Illinois… 6-for-11 for 86 yards and two scores at Mercer… a week later, earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors for his 201-yard, three-score performance in the Govs win against Murray State… finished the campaign as the Govs leader in passing yards (530), touchdowns (five) and completion percentage (54-for-95, 56.8 percent).
Previously: Joined Governors in January and went through first college spring practice… completed 6-of-14 passes for 54 yards and touchdown in Red-White game… passed for more than 2,000 yards as junior and senior at La Lumiere School… earned all-area as junior and senior.
Personal: Business finance major… son of Mindaugas and Bonnie Macius… born Oct. 30… father played baseball at SIU Edwardsville (1971-72)… brother Blain played football at Wabash College.
