Johnathan Lloyd

Johnathan Lloyd joined Austin Peay in 2026 as wide receivers coach after spending two seasons as an offensive assistant at Troy. He oversees the Governors' receiving corps while contributing to offensive game planning and recruiting. 

Before arriving at Austin Peay, Lloyd assisted with offensive game plans, scouting reports, practice scripting and opponent breakdowns at Troy. He began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at Duke, where he worked with current Governors head coach Jeff Faris. Lloyd played wide receiver at Duke, serving as a team captain and earning three Academic All-ACC honors during his collegiate career.

Austin Peay (2026-CURRENT)

2026: Named Austin Peay’s wide receivers coach in February 2026.

Troy (2024-25)

2024-25: Spent two seasons serving as an offensive assistant for head coach Gerad Parker and offensvie coordinator Sean Reagan. The Trojans showcased a four-win improvement from 2024 to 2025 and faced off against Jacksonville State in the Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. 

Duke (2023)

2023: Served as a graduate assistant for the Duke program, where he worked with current Governors head coach Jeff Faris. 

COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER (2014-18)

A four-year letterwinner at Duke from 2015-18, he appeared in 49 games with 37 starts and totaled 124 receptions for 1,272 yards and nine touchdowns. He became the 20th player in Duke history to reach 100 career receptions and the 37th to surpass 1,000 receiving yards, while ranking 16th in program history in receptions and third in touchdown receptions of 50-plus yards. He played in three bowl victories and was a two-time recipient of Duke’s Sonny Falcone Iron Duke Award for year-round commitment to strength training and conditioning. Lloyd aslso spent two seasons on the Blue Devil baseball team in 2015 and 2016.
