Austin Peay State University Athletics

Tyler Hager joined Austin Peay in 2026 as assistant director of athletics for equipment operations after serving as assistant athletic equipment manager at Georgia Southern. He oversees all equipment operations for the Governors football program, including equipment purchasing and inventory, player safety initiatives, apparel management, game-day operations and team travel logistics. 

Before arriving in Clarksville, Hager spent two seasons at Georgia Southern managing equipment operations for the Eagles football program. He previously served as director of football equipment at Gardner-Webb, helping the Bulldogs win the 2022 Big South Conference championship and earn a berth in the FCS playoffs, and was head football equipment manager at Wingate during two NCAA Division II playoff appearances. Hager also has experience working postseason bowl games and NFL training camp operations, bringing nearly a decade of football equipment experience to the Governors.
